Mobile Development Lead
Lead iOS and Android development using React Native and TypeScript; set standards for code quality, testing, and reviews. Architect scalable, maintainable mobile solutions (state management, navigation, caching, offline-first and analytics). Deliver pixel-perfect UI from Figma with high-quality animations and consistent behaviour across devices. Own mobile release management: CI/CD, OTA updates (where applicable), store submissions, and post-release monitoring. Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts, performance, and reliability; ensure robust error handling and observability. Mentor and support engineers through sprints, planning, estimation, technical guidance, and 1:1 coaching. Report weekly to the Head of Engineering on progress, risks, and roadmap delivery. Must-have requirements: 7+ years building mobile apps with 3+ years of production React Native experience at scale. Strong TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals; proven ability to write clean, well-structured code. Deep mobile fundamentals: performance profiling, memory management, networking, offline storage, and app lifecycle. Hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD and release pipelines. Experience with OTA updates and feature flagging strategies. Excellent understanding of iOS/Android UX patterns and App Store / Play Store requirements. Leadership experience guiding a remote or cross-functional team.
