Unit Head Central & North Litigation - Litigation Division (Legal Group)

Job Summary/Major Responsibilities: • Manage & supervise rights and interests of the Bank by effectively overseeing the litigation portfolio of different BUs, such as SME, RFD, ACD, HRG and other cases. • Manage & supervise vetting of plaint, petitions, CPLA, CP, CA, replications, appeals, representations before filing in the Court of competent jurisdiction and other judicial/Quasi-Judicial forum and ensure timely issuance of POA to external legal counsels. • Vet, supervise, and provide legal guidance on settlement and compromise agreements to facilitate amicable resolutions within legal framework. • Manage & liaise with external counsels in order to ensure attendance before Courts and defend Bank's interest properly. Also liaise with BUs and RMs to ensure provision of information/documents in order to pass on clear instructions to the external counsels in all litigation matters. • Recommend qualified lawyers for empanelment and process approval notes for defalcated amounts per legal SOPs. Eligibility Criteria: Qualification: Minimum LLB or relevant degree from HEC recognized local/foreign university/institute. Experience: Min. 09 years of experience in Litigation, Banking Laws, Criminal Laws, Corporate & Recovery Laws. Age: Up to 55 years as on date of application.
