Technical Engineering Lead – AI & Agentic Systems
As an Technical Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in system architecture, software development, and AI initiatives. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, mentoring engineers, shaping engineering best practices, and leading the development of AI-native and agentic solutions across PakWheels products and internal operations. Key Responsibilities - Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Design, architect, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems. - Drive end-to-end execution of engineering projects from planning to deployment. - Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Data Teams, and Business Stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions. - Conduct code reviews and establish engineering standards, best practices, and development processes. - Lead the adoption of AI-powered solutions and agentic workflows across products and internal operations. - Design and implement autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency. - Drive effective sprint planning, execution, and delivery to ensure predictable and on-time release of product features - Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of engineering team members. Technical Requirements - Strong expertise in modern software development and system architecture. - Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Ruby, Node.js, Python, .NET, Java, or similar platforms. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Strong understanding of databases, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and scalable architectures. - Strong understanding of Prompt Engineering, AI Evaluation Frameworks, Agentic Workflows - Familiarity with AI observability, monitoring, and governance practices. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and engineering productivity tools. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of software engineering experience. - 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams. - Proven experience delivering large-scale production systems. - Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI-powered products or agentic solutions. - Strong people management, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
