Manager, Hull Construction

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE: This job role is to ensure that all hull construction work and related activities are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently in accordance with applicable technical specifications, company policies, procedures, and work instructions. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Hull construction Production management Monitor productivity of all hull construction activities in shipbuilding including subcontractors' production and ensuring timely completion of works fulfilling quality and safety. 2. Planning for Hull Construction Develop a clear production execution strategy and plan for hull construction, load analysis, block transportation/arrangement, and manpower. 3. HSE Management Pursue zero harm to employees by ensuring that all hull construction activities are executed safely in compliance with HSE standards/procedures and MSDS. 4. Resource Management Take primary responsibility for allocating and managing manpower and resources for hull construction work, in accordance with the project schedule and budget. 5. Space Planning Plan and manage the use of Dry Dock and yard space based on current project requirements and potential project awards. 6. Training for Hull Construction Prepare work procedures and instructions for all hull construction activities required for shipbuilding projects. 7. HR Management Assist the Human Resource team with workforce-related issues. 8. Relationship Management Maintain close relationships with Planning, Project Management, Asset Management, and HR groups. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Naval architecture or ocean engineering or shipbuilding engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 15 – 18 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or other engineering company. Languages: Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading).
