Director of Engineering (Data Infrastructure)

Databricks is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering specializing in Data Infrastructure for its Bengaluru office. This role is central to maintaining the integrity and performance of our data backbone. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling robust ETL/ELT pipelines and core data services that support petabyte-scale data operations. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate cloud technologies, developing resilient fault-tolerant systems, and optimizing query performance across massive datasets. The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (like Spark) and have a proven ability to manage technical debt while driving innovation in data architecture.
