Research Engineer, Takeoff Intel

Anthropic is seeking a talented and driven Research Engineer to join the Takeoff Intel team. This role is critical in analyzing the foundational intelligence of our large language models (LLMs) and ensuring their performance stability across diverse benchmarks. You will be responsible for implementing sophisticated tooling and rigorous evaluation frameworks that probe model capabilities, identify emergent behaviors, and guide architectural improvements. Key responsibilities include developing novel testing methodologies, optimizing inference pipelines for complex scenarios, and collaborating directly with core research scientists to bridge theoretical breakthroughs with practical, deployed systems.
